Something that might take us ten minutes in Illustrator probably took this guy an entire afternoon in a darkroom. I love the crudeness of this odd design though...there's a warmth here that would likely be lost with our precision tools. (What on Earth these numerals have to do with the 30's is anybody's guess!)
i have this record too.. i never listen to it, but you are totally right..the raw crude starkness of the graphics is SO appealing.. i suppose there is a distance created, or buffered by modern digital tech-software apps/tools..
